This UK Border Agency guide gives visa applicants information on how long their applications may take based on recent visa processing performance. The visa application centres in each country are listed alphabetically. Processing times are given in working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Performance figures are updated monthly.

Guide to visa application processing times

Visa applicants should bear in mind that each application is subject to an individual assessment and processing times may vary. This guide cannot be used as a guarantee of processing times.

Processing times in the Kazakhstan

The expected processing time may vary by visa category. You will be informed of the processing times when you submit your application. In the majority of straightforward applications you should receive a decision within 15 working days from the date you submit your application and biometric data. This may be extended if further enquiries are necessary. Please allow for extended processing timelines during peak seasons.

We suggest that you do not buy tickets or make non-refundable travel arrangements until your visa has been issued. You can apply for your visa up to 3 months before you are due to travel. Please note: applications for certain British overseas territories and Commonwealth countries can take up to 3 months to process, so please apply well in advance of your travel date.
